Phil Andersch, Co-founder and Partner, Torus Marketing
Phil previously accumulated more than 20 years of direct experience in all aspects of retail including: Sales and Marketing, Merchandising, Business Law, Management and Finance. After being admitted to Pepperdine Law School in 1979, Phil elected instead to enter the family business. This firm was engaged in the retail sales of upscale appliances, furniture and electronics. Phil built this firm from one location with eight employees to seven locations with more than 200 employees. Throughout his retail career, Phil’s stores were members of prominent national buying groups. Phil served on the boards of directors of these buying groups. Each of Phil’s stores was consistently ranked as the number one retail company in its respective market in terms of the sales of both electronics and furniture and number two behind Sears in sales of appliances. His company was also featured on the covers of several national trade publications including Furniture Today and Dealerscope magazines. Phil sold this business in 1993. Since that time, he has leveraged his sales, marketing and business developments skills in a variety of retail, real estate and oil & gas businesses. Phil graduated with Honors from Oregon State University in 1978 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and Business.
